I was hired by the American Institute for Economic Research initially as a data visualization developer. On my second day at AIER I was asked to recommend software that would accomplish this task. I spent several weeks testing various solutions and ultimately chose Highcharts as a flexible and versatile data visualization platform. I created interactive graphs and charts to represent the economic data that AIER produced along with third-party data. The framework is JavaScript and employed either embedded JSON or an API.
